April 2018 Update - Release Date

Hey guys/gals,

Just a quick update -- I am working overtime on the game for a July 2018 release on early access.

I was going to try to do a video playthrough maybe a week or two before release or maybe earlier if I can just to show off what its all shaping up to be.

Thanks!

  3. Thank you :) I was starting to think the game was stuck in dev hell or something xD

  4. Will the editor be available at the launch of early access or later?

  6. Oh yeah, why Showtime! doesn't appear on Steam anymore? Even the link only directed to store.steampowered.com... Hmm...

  7. Can't wait for this, I've actually been waiting a really long time for the sequel to Showtime!. So I'm pretty excited and anticipating the release.

  8. Hi, I was wondering if we could get a June update. I know that you're tryna get it out by July, so it's probs crunch time. It's just, I'm hyped, is all. Good luck with development :)

  9. I know I'm late but this is very exciting! Please launch the game with the same mod from last time that adds real people in the game!

  10. Hey, July is here! Maybe it's time to start dropping some information about the release date and other important details?

  11. Hey man, you said July Early Access, but I don't wanna be that guy that rushes or pisses you off, so if you don't think you can make this month, at least let us know of a delay; don't leave your fanbase hanging lol :)

  12. Hi! We're past the halfway point in July and we haven't heard anything yet. Obviously there's a delay, but can you tell us any more. If you could please keep us informed I'm sure we'd all appreciate it.

  14. I'm developing a game myself, and it is quite challenging. So take as much time as you need.

  15. Soooooo....that didn't happen

  16. Any chance of an update? news? anything at all?

We get that it's hard work and things don't always happen on schedule, but letting us know what's happening would be appreciated.

  17. I'm not trying to be rude. But how hard would it be to just write an extremely quick devblog just to keep the fan base in the know. I'd rather the game be delayed than be rushed out. But you simply cannot announce a release date and then not say anything else. All I want is a very simple explanation. I feel very let down by the way this devblog has been handled overall but this is really taking the piss

  18. I agree with the dude above. We get that it's hard work, but this kinda stunt is kinda making me angry.

  19. Guys it's pretty safe to assume that this project and blog have been abandoned.

  20. Unfortunate. I was really hyped for this, and was willing to pay whatever price was asked. Come on Myrtilus, just release it. It's obviously in a playable state (as seen from the Alpha Gameplay video). If you release it, you will automatically do 3 things: (1) make your fans really happy; (2) get a lot of income; and (3) free up a heck load of time, to work on updates in your own time, and make the game how you envisioned it, post-launch. Sorry for the long comment, but this is just a plea from a fan, to please just release it in its current state, whatever that may be. Please.

  21. I guess this game is dead. Very unfortunate.

  22. If you guys look at the Showtime Steam page Discussions, you will see he is posting on there about it at least.

  23. I think the game is dead... Huhuhu would be nice if showtime 2 would come out... also if TV series would be added to the game.

  24. He said on the steam community forum for Showtime that it'll possibly be released in November, but that is not set in stone.

  26. Don't listen to these impatient nerds man, delays are fine. But can we please just get a progress update every now and again to know youre still working on it? no need for any dates but just something?

  27. Obligatory monthly "this won't get released" post

  31. june comment: showtime 2 is but a myth perpetuated by the russian government

  32. okay, but if he's working on it... why doesn't he TELL us? As many have said a bunch of times already, it's not that we want him to release a rushed game: we just want him to COMMUNICATE. Even a 5-word update "i am working on it" would suffice, and it'd take less than 30 seconds to post. It's just unbelievable that he hasn't posted a single comment in over a year.

tldr; the problem is the lack of communication, not the lack of game
